- Viscon Advance is a white to yellowish oral suspension with anise (fennel) flavour. - This medicine is used to treat symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD) such as acid reflux, heartburn and indigestion, for example, after eating, during pregnancy, or in patients with symptoms associated with reflux oesophagitis. - It works in two ways: as an antacid to neutralise excess stomach acid, and as an alginate to form a protective layer that floats on top of the stomach contents, keeping them away from the lining of the food pipe. - Adults and children over 12 years of age. - It can be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
